I used to work for a store that sold LCD TVs and there was never one under $999 and that was without a rebate. I think this is an excellent deal even for a refurbished TV. Refurbished will still go for around $750 or so. At least the ones I have seen have. My mother bought a 42 inch LCD projection TV...
