Typically, yes. Very much so. But beware of a few things like unless you are standing in line at 6 AM on Friday morning, you may not get some of the best deals as the retailers are famous for NOT supplying many of the sale items and they do not offer rain checks. So once the limited quantity of the sale item (last year's $300 laptop from Wal-Mart is a great example) are gone, that is it. Tough luck, better get there earlier next year.
